Vision and Mission

Why Nutrition Security?

Corporate Governance

The Vision of NCP is Nutrition Security for All.

NCP's Mission is to work with partners to achieve nutrition security, especially for those who are disadvantaged.

Our work focuses on addressing the nutrition needs of vulnerable populations, through cost-effective and innovative nutrition strategies and interventions.

Good nutrition drives development.

The failure to invest in the nutrition of a child within the first 1000 days their life affects their chances of survival, life expectancy, long-term adult health and economic productivity.

Nutrition Security is the end result of a healthy environment, good home and medical caring practices, as well as a community’s physical and economic access to nutritious food. Food alone is not enough.

Our work is governed by strategic plans that are approved by the NCP Board of Directors.

The NCP Research and Programs Unit implements our core activities of research, program design, implementation and evaluation, and formulation of nutrition policy.

The NCP Subsidiary Corporations develop and sell commodities for health and nutrition programs.

NCP is currently focusing on five strategic program areas that contribute towards improving nutrition security:

  • Micronutrient Deficiencies
  • Infant and Young Child Nutrition
  • Non-Communicable and Communicable Diseases
  • Maternal and Neonatal Health
  • Effective Public Health Interventions
